When you select the New Patient button you are presented with a Quick Entry screen into which you can record the patient information. This quick entry screen can be expanded to allow for additional information to be entered using the "Enter More Details" button which give access to the full Patient file or the "Insurance Policies" button to enter the patient insurance polices.
In the System Configuration settings administrators can define business rules to insure that a minimum of key or mandatory fields are completed prior to saving and creating a new patient record.
