The Commissions screen allows the recording of the type and amount of commission (payouts, sales incentives) to be paid for the sale of the specified inventory item. As users identify themselves as the salesperson at invoice time (in the Line Item Detail), the system tracks and report the commission/payout earned by this employee.
Commission Paid: The commission (payouts, sales incentives) to be paid is either a fixed amount or a percentage and is attributed to the recorded employee for the line item recorded on the invoice. Each individual line item can have a different salesperson (employee) as the salesperson for the specified item.
Note: Only one method of commission payment at a time can be applied to an inventory item.
